The Art and Science of Media Measurement
For 127 years, Dow Jones & Company has been the most trusted publisher of business information in the world, publishing such icons of American Business as the Wall Street Journal, Barron's, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average. The company has also developed considerable expertise in measuring and monitoring media coverage, an endeavor that, as all PR professionals know, grows more complicated every day. During this interactive discussion with Katie Jones, an expert from the Dow Jone Public Relations and Corporate Communications segment, we'll cover the following topics:

1) What are the important metrics for PR? Volume, Share of Voice, sentiment, and more.

2) What is the relationship between traditional and social media?

3) What are the meaningful measures of success in public relations?

Katie Jones has over 15-years of experience with public relations and market research firms. For the last five years, Katie has worked out of Dow Jones' Chicago office and has been dedicated exclusively to working with companies on their media measurement programs. Katie has a BA in Communications from St. Mary's College, Notre Dame, IN and a MS in Management from DePaul University.

Katie will be joined by Leslie Drueke of Amway Global's Consumer and Market Insights Group. Leslie will talk about some of the very interesting work Amway has done in the area of social media measurement.

Cost (includes lunch):
$25.00 for Members
$20.00 for Students
$35.00 for Non-Members
